This summer holiday my
family and I went on holiday to Woolacombe, Devon.
This holiday was probably
the best holiday I have been on, even though I had visited Devon lots of times
for some reason this one I enjoyed the most!
In Devon everywhere is just
so beautiful and so I’m going to share with you some of the photos I took over
the week.
The first place that we visited was Woolacombe beach, as you can see it was absolutely packed with people. Here we did surfing, rock pooling and lots of sunbathing! One of my favourite places to visit in Devon is a small place called Ilfracombe, this is a popular fishing village with lots of little independent shops.
Right by the new harbor there is a very unique statue of a pregnant women created by the artist Damien Hirst.
This here is the remains of the old harbor, a great place for crabbing and fishing!
We then visited a very beautiful little village called Clovelly. The village is based on a steep hill made from pebbels.
The villagers of Clovelly don't use cars, but use donkeys. They mainly use the now for delivering goods to houses and the businesses.
At the bottom of the steep hill you come to a small harbor and a stunning view.
All of the houses in Clovelly are beautifully maintained, they are all unique in there own way, some with colourfull flowers and others littered with statues of gnomes.
Whilst we were there we visited the North Devon show, which is a very popular show that goes on where farmers for all over Devon bring there animals to be put in a contest.
